1850s PITTSBURGH PILLAR MOLD BLOWN DECANTER WITH MATCHING STOPPER GROUND PONTIL

Description

This is an early pontiled heavy flint glass Pittsburgh pillar molded decanter from the 1850s with an original pontiled pillar mold blown stopper!...sparkling mint with no chips or damage. This beautiful quart decanter has 8 pillars.....applied rings around lower neck ....ground pontil scar on bottom...thick flared ring collar.....9 3/4"tall (12 1/4"with stopper)....hollow blown pillar mold stopper has 8 pillars also....the stopper has a slight wobble but looks perfect.....decanter and stopper are both sparkling mint condition with no chips or damage of any kind. Shiny clean with no haze. A very heavy decanter!...guaranteed authentic from the 1850s or 1860s.
