    Description

    Here's a rare super long neck, hand blown German beer or liquor bottle from the 1870s or 1880s with hand painted scene of a pair of Catholic priests, an old man & 3 dogs.  One priest is seated behind a desk and is holding a pair of little dogs in his robe. They are watching another little dog that is seated in front of the desk, along with his master, who is an old German man seated in a chair.  Another Catholic priest is standing with a pitcher in one hand. This is an original hand painted oil scene done originally in the 1800s specially for this bottle....Hand blown in mold, bimal......smooth sunken oval base....crude drippy applied collar.....olive green.....oval chestnut type flask with super long neck.....13 1/2"tall (neck is 7 1/2"long by itself).......Excellent shiny attic nice condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A nice clean bottle with no haze.  Some light wear to hand painted scene and a little dust from age, but I've made no attempt to clean it, so it can probably be cleaned up better....a rare awesome looking antique beer bottle! The scene was painted on the bottle originally and is not modern
    ....Although I thought these look like wine bottles, I've been told they actually were sold with beer originally....
