    Description

    Offered for sale is a wonderful lot of (3) antique dip mold glass taper or case gin bottles manufactured during the second half of the 19th century.  The bottles have a square form base, tapered edges, and round shoulders with an applied finish at the top.  Two have a lovely olive green color while one is amber in color.  One bottle has embossed diagonal designs with a number 2 on the bottom.  Another one has very fine vertical lines going up each side.  The third has a star with dot around it on the bottom.  Two bottles retain their original corks and they stand about 10 1/2" tall.
    The overall condition of each bottle is excellent.  There are no chips or cracks with the exception of the finishes which display their original roughness as made.  The clarity of the glass is excellent with minimal to no cloudiness and the insides are clean.  You can expect to fine the standard imperfections associated with older glass to include airbubbles, strawmarks, inclusions, etc.  and they each have a slight wobble as produced.  This is a beautiful lot of early glass bottles!
