Grandmother's Flower Garden 30's Quilt

This was purchased at an estate sale.  It is all hand sewn.  I am no quilting expert but the work is very nicely done.  There is the finished top, batting and bottom.  One length of the quilt has been quilted.  The quilt was attached and rolled up on two long quilt frame poles.  The exposed material was soiled.  I decided to wash this by hand but then wanted to give it a more thorough laundering.   I put it on a gentle, delicate washing machine cycle.  I basted the whole quilt before washing hoping to keep the batting in place.  This resulted in a cleaner quilt but the batting became bunched in places.  There are only two or three holes in the quilt, (see pics).There is a large dark stain in one corner, (pictured) and a smaller one, pictured as well.  There is still some remaining staining or shading along one long edge but mainly in the corner.  I suppose a gifted quilter might be able to replace certain areas.  If it weren't for the already quilter portion, I would have removed the top.  Future owner would probably remove and replace the batting not already quilted.  Being sold "AS IS"!  Ask me any further questions you may have.  I make an effort to recycle shipping materials.
