  • Condition: Scale is in great shape. The removable pan has some corrosion as well as the small transfer spatula and some on the silver knobs. There is some oxidization at the base of the central vertical member but it does not seem to have caused damage. Please examine the photos.

    Description

    I am offering an antique triple-beam scale
    with a hanging pan manufactured by the
    Central Scientific Co. in Chicago.
    It is marked, "Patented Dec. 4, 1906.

    It appears to have a cast iron base and arm mechanism.
    It has a level attached to the base and the scale's level is
    adjusted with the silver knob at the right-hand end.
    I found many examples of a similar scale from the 1930's & 40's
    which was also marked Central Scientific but also
    prominently marked Cenco.
