c.1890 Card Game: Railroad Old Maid by J. H. Singer, Incomplete
Includes the box top, instructions, and 15 cards (the Old Maid is one of them, and an advertising one as noted below).
The box measures 4" x 5", and each card measures 2" x 3-1/4"
The box top is stitched along its edge, the interior fabric lining is worn and soiled, the instructions are yellowed and worn, and the cards have edge wear, creases and soiling as shown.
There should be pairs of all the cards except the Old Maid, so we are missing 5 matches to single cards included, and we have one extra card (a third card) to one included.  The total deck was thus probably 19 cards.
One card and the box top says "Play Cuckoo for Fun", an advertisement I think.
The box top is marked lower right J.H.S.N.Y. (J.H. Singer, New York).
