Clamshell kaffe Fassett Fabrics, Handmade Appliqued King Quilt Top 111" x 121"

Description

Quilt top features cotton Kaffe Fassett prints and Michael Miller Couture soft white fabric for the background. This pattern is by Sue Pelland from the book Hearts and More. Her book uses the fused appliqued method. This quilt has hand appliqued clamshells, vines, flowers, leaves and a machine pieced center. The outer border sash was machine pieced then hand appliqued. Borders are cut on the straight of grain, all seams pressed to one side, except the mitered corners on outer border where seams were pressed open to alleviate bulk. Applique work is exceptional with small stitches. Quilt top measures 111 1/2" x 121 1/2" to allow for a pillow tuck. Pictures of the back show quality of work. Backing fabric is included which is a Moda 200 thread count measuring 120" x 3 1/2 Yards.  Does not include batting or binding. No stains, tears or fading and stored with acid free paper in a light free, clean, non-smoking environment.
