by Nichols, die cast, 1961 in good condition. Rare “blued” model with beautiful, plastic ivory staghorn grips – no chips or cracks. Nichols Circle N is blued as well. This 10–inch long cap pistol is patterned after the Colt 45. Left side of the false cylinder flips out like a car door to load 250 roll caps. Fully working cap gun. The blued paint has some wear – see photos.

The Cowhand
is a “blued” diecast, double-action repeating cap pistol introduced by
Nichols Industries, Jacksonville, Texas in 1961
. A reliable cap shooting antique, this rare, blued edition is 10 inches long and patterned after the 1873 Colt .45 Peacemaker. Underneath the 4 ¼-inchbarrel lies a non-functioning ejector rod mimicking the original. Elegant in design, the left side of the false cylinder swings out and forward like a car door to load 250-shot Roll Caps. The name “Cowhand” is proudly embossed on either side of the frame beneath the cylinder area. With each shot fired a tight, little smoke ring floats out of the barrel. The handsome plastic ivory staghorn grips have greyed striations mirroring the blued Nichols “Circle N” Ranch medallion and the shiny, “blued” painted frame.
