Old brass, shut off valve. The valve has a female fitting on one end and a male threaded fitting on the other end. The valve does not open/close. I did put a small amount of oil on the moving parts to try and free it up but it has not worked yet. I have no way of knowing if it is 100 percent shut off or if it may seep a little. I am selling it as a collectible and not for actual use. The overall length of the fitting is about 1 3/8 inches long. The threaded end is about 3/8 inch. The outside of the male fitting seems to be flattened somewhat, altering the dimension inside. The male end is approximately 1/4 inch outside to outside, flattened somewhat. It is right at 1 5/8 inches from the top of the oval shut off to the bottom of the fitting. It is being sold as is.
