Vintage Patchwork Bow Tie ~ Quilt Top ~ 74" x 83" Hand Sewn ~ 1940's -50's

Description

This auction is for a vintage mostly all hand stitched patchwork quilt top.  Great vintage quilt top. That was made,  but never finished into a completed quilt. Complete 74" x 83." With this larger size it covers a queen size when you finish it.
Some of the pieces have a few bubbles in the fabric as this pattern is not an easy one to complete. Nice hand sewing. The fabric looks to be the late 1940's to 50's.  There is a border of pale yellow & pale turquoise, it is about 5" border combined. It is all cotton pieces.
The last picture is the quilt top over our banister outside to show some of the sewing that was done & the colors.It just reminded me a stain glass window.
It had been stored in a quilt chest for many years.
